Hello world

I haven’t really been active on my blogs and twitter accounts these days… weeks, months… has it been a year already?!
Last time I wrote, I didn’t have a job. Then I did and I lost track of my free time. So I decided to take a vacation: two weeks where I will just do… something other than work. Time to take up this blogging again and tweet to my friends – 100 followers as we speak! – and time to help raise a puppy.
A very dear friend and her boyfriend adopted a cocker spaniel puppy and yesterday we went to Zwolle to get him. It was an awesome start of my vacation, because I had to get up at half past 6 and I truly love mornings. Yeah, you can wake me up any day to show me mornings. And after that, I love going back to sleep and wake at a nicer time when my thoughts aren’t stuck in syrup or anything.
Mornings are not my thing. But for my lovely friend Saskia I jumped out of bed in the middle of the night and together with another awesome friend Anneloes we drove to Zwolle. Zwolle, that sounds as far away from our hometown as it was. We drove and drove and drove and still my brain didn’t wake up. Thank Saskia for not letting me drive then. And thank Coffee for being there.
Anneloes, who had been sipping my Coffee as well, was very much awake. So much awake that she almost got into the car with a salesman after we had taken a pitt-stop. While she was reaching for the car door, Anneloes wondered why Saskia would put all those folders in her car when we needed that space to take home the dog… She didn’t mind the man sitting behind the wheel, no that wasn’t weird at all. The folders, those were very weird. I noticed Anneloes and wondered why she would want to take a ride with that man. Weren’t we as much fun as a man with a car filled with folders? And even though I completely understood her interest in the folders, I coughed and we pointed to our car: that HUUUUGE Volvo in which we looked like three very small children taking daddy’s car for a joyride.
And a joyride it was! We had a great laugh, which improved even more when we heard the story about Saskia’s mom, who had once really stepped into the car of a stranger. My brain started to wake. Maybe it’s just the lack of humor in the morning that keeps me asleep.
Are we there yet? We’ve been on the road long enough… At ten in the morning we arrived at the dog lady’s house and met with the awesomly cute puppy named Max. He’s soooo cute and soft and he purrs and peeps and makes all kinds of other funny sounds. We fell in love with him right then and there. We wanted to take him home with us and so we did.
This time Saskia let me drive the big car and it was quite a new experience. This car is twice as wide as my own car, thrice as long and it doesn’t have a stick shift! Without a stick shift, driving becomes quite boring. All you have to do is keep your foot on the gas. Booooring! But mega bigness of the car presented a new challenge so I stilll had a great time. Anneloes and I chatted at the front and in the back seat we could hear Saskia whispering to Max and Max peeping and purring and making all kinds of other very cute sounds. We were enjoying this so much, we decided to do this more often. Well, without the getting up early and picking up new puppy’s because those are things you just shouldn’t do too often.
